Born in Northumberland in the northeast of England in 1950, Bill was clearly gifted from early childhood in a wide variety of media. By the 1980s he was increasingly focusing on wood carving and attracting some attention.

I had known Bill in Edinburgh in the 1970s -- we re-connected at Christmas, 1991, and he decided to try working in Los Angeles, CA where I had lived for close to two decades. We were married outside Flagstaff, AZ, in September, 1992, and we commuted between these two places until his death in September, 1996, after five wonderful years together.

I've always wanted to share Bill's work more widely, so on the twentieth anniversary of his death, I'm indebted to friends and family for their help creating this site to commemorate and celebrate his unique skills.

And thank you for the taking the journey with us.
